Description

This book, The Story of the Solar System, was entirely my own creation. I conceived the idea and presented a proposal to Cambridge University Press. They were happy with the idea and consequently commissioned me to write the text and provide all of the illustrations.
        The book tells the story of the Solar System in chronological order. Part one discusses how the Sun formed, each stage of the process fully-illustrated in step-by-step fashion with full-page or double-page artworks. Part two describes the formation of the planets. Part three examines the Solar System today. And lastly, part 4 takes a trip into the future, charting the demise of the Sun – and the Solar System along with it.
