Meaning 'Lambe's lizard', Lambeosaurus belonged to the very successful group of herbivorous dinosaurs, flourishing during the Late Cretaceous Period, called hadrosaurs ('duck-billed' dinosaurs). Relatives include Edmontosaurus and Parasaurolophus. It grew to an adult length of 7 m (23 ft).
